Busy, busy, busy

It has been a LONG time since I have written on my blog. I have been very, very, VERY BUSY.



I had a great summer. The biggest thing that happened in my summer was my trip to New York. I went to visit my Aunt, Uncle and my cousins. We went to the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, and ate the biggest ice cream scoop I've ever seen. While we were eating the ice scream a lightening bolt struck right outside the building and hit the bike on the back of a parked car. The car wouldn't start afterwards.

We went to the Berkshires where we went inner tubing and swimming at the lake, played games, ate good food, and went in the jacuzzi. We also went to a sushi place. It was soooo yummy. My cousins took me to their friends humongous house. I am not kidding. It had chess pieces that were almost the same size as me. Their friends were really cool We went fishing in their lake and I got tons of bites but I didn't catch anything and it was the first time that I ever when fishing. We also went on their water trampoline. We had to swim all the way out to it. It was really far.

We also visited another one of their friends houses too. His house was also very big and these kids were very cool also. We played hide and go seek. We also ran around in the rain. It was really fun. There was so much that happened in this trip, it is too much to explain. It was great though.

My football started the day after I got back from New York. Football is really fun but very hard. We have to run, do push ups, and we even do the Pilates "plank". It is really hot inside the pads. I get really sweaty and stinky from football and my Mom makes me take a shower every night that I have football. There are a lot of bigger people so it is sometimes scary hitting. So far, I am fine and have not gotten hurt on the field and had to be carried off.

I started my new school and I have a lot of new friends at my new school. It has been really fun being there. We play tag, and eat really yummy food for lunch. I am learning a lot of new stuff that I never knew before like Spanish, music, computers, religion, and a lot of other stuff. We are going to have to wear uniforms for PE too.

I even got invited to a birthday party for one of my new friends. Pretty much everyone in my new class, and some from the other 4th grade class, were there. Well, the boys were. There was no girls except the sister of the birthday boy. We played games in the swimming pool, and played a fun prize game where we were asked a lot of funny questions and got prizes for answering. And we all danced the Cha-Cha-Slide. It was fun.

I'm back home. Safe & Sound.

Fun, Fun, Fun

This summer I have been going to summer school my classes are Hands on science, Journalism, Clay/Sculpture, and Math Applications.

I like all of my classes, but Hand on Science is the best. I like this class the best because we do experiments and we are learning a lot of cool stuff. We learned about Thomas Edison and other famous scientist.

Journalism is cool too. We are writing about news stories and even cartoons. We just finished our newspaper reviews and are now doing cartoons.

Clay/Sculpture is fun. We get to creat stuff with our hands and we use all kinds of stuff like paper mache and other stuff.

In Math Applications, I am learning a lot of new stuff too. I have learned new ways of doing math like multiplication, repeats, division. We even created a blue print for a house and we used area and perimeter to calculate the measurements.

Summer school is almost over. Then my summer is going to get even more fun because I am going to New York to visit Uncle Butthead Joe, Auntie Boogie Jill, Scrabble Dude, Shae-Shae, and their dog Hercules. We are going to have LOTS of fun.

Pizza Party

Today it's pizza night and we're making pizza. All of us had to make
the pizza. Streetblues, Missy Lou, and I made pictures on the pizza.
Streetblues made a flower & a tic-tac-toe board, Missy Lou made a
smiley face, and I made a pepperoni hurricane. It was a very fun
dinner for all of us. Thank you to Mr. & Mrs. Rodger for having us over.

Castle

I made this sculpture in my summer school class. It is a castle made
of wood and other things. It took time to make it. Even thought it
broke a little, we are going to fix it. It is a work of art.

Camp

I am leaving for camp. I am going to have a good time. It is going to be really hot but I am looking forward to squirting people with squirt guns and swimming.

I packed everything on the packing list, incruding the rain poncho even though I won't need it. I also have my "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" book, and a doodle by that my brother gave me. My bag is SO heavy.

Love bird?

We have a new addition to our home.  This bird has made her nest on our front porch.  She looks at us whenever we come out our front door.  My Mom thinks that she might be a love bird.  So far, we don't see or hear any chicks.

My Guitar

My first round of guitar lessons is now over.  Learning guitar is hard, but I am going to keep going.  My Mom signed me up for the next set of group lessons.   

Chuck E. Cheese

We to Chuck E. Cheese today with the people at "group."  We played games.  Here we are on the roller coaster.  I got 438 tickets and K got 120 tickets.  We all had fun together.

iChat

I like to chat with my cousins on the other coast of the US. We have to agree on a good time for everyone. It is always 3 hours later in New York. Today chatted before my Mom and I went to church.

We use the iChat on the Mac so we can see and hear each other. Then we play games online and talk about it. It is a lot of fun.

Today it was soccer. We had a soccer game. The first half was messy.
Brendan scored a goal, and Adnon did too. Then the other team scored.
After that, I SCORED! Finally Jimmy scored one too. It was the best
game ever. We won the game, ate some Gatorade, and then went home.

Dinner with the group

Tonight we went out to eat for spaghetti.  We were with the people at "group."  There were too many of us to sit in the trolley car.  It was a lot of fun anyway.    The ice cream was the best. 

After we left, we realized that my homework folder was still there.  We went back to look for it but no one can find it.  My Mom went in next but she came back without it.  We started to drive away but then my Mom went back because my story for the book faire was in the bag too. We found it.

This is a good book.

My teacher let me borrow the book "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" by Jeff Kinney. I really like it!

Game Today

Dog walk

Today we took our dogs to get a walk. Ronin pulled a lot but Lucky
was good but he pulled sometimes too. The dogs liked it. I did too.

Happy Easter!

Today we had an Easter egg hunt.  It was a tie.  My Mom found 7 eggs and I found 7 eggs.  My Aunt Kathy helped both my Mom and me.

Dad's Anniversary

One year ago my Dad died.  Today is the 1-year anniversary.  We went to the beach to celebrate by putting a rose into the ocean for my Dad.  First, we tried to throw the flower into the water.  We kept throwing it but it kept coming back.  Finally, we threw it one last time and were going to give up.  It didn't come back.  Then we sat on the beach and read the poems that he wrote.

Passing game

We had soccer practice.  We did a new thing.  It was a passing game.  You get points for passing.  If your team gets six points then the other team has to do 10 pushups or sit ups. 

Spellathon Day

Today we had the spellathon. I think I did really well. I will probably fall out next Thursday. It was really hard to keep up with the pace that she said the words. I didn't raise a lot of money this year but I raised A LOT of money last year. The money is for our 5th Grade field trip.

Masks

In school we made masks. You pick a partner, then you go outside and they would put vasoline on their face. If you have too much hair you have to have your hair put up like a girl. We did not have to do that because we didn't have long hair. My partner was Juan. You were a bag over you body so that the stuff doesn't get on your clothes. Then we make the mask.

You do each other's mask. I did Juan's first. I put the stuff in the the water and the other stuff (I don't remember what it was called) and then on his face. We did it over and over until his face was covered. It was fun. Then he did me.

Juan almost got his mask stuck on him and couldn't take it off. Luckily, we did get it off.

Counselling

I went with my Mom and Conor to his counselling. My Mom and I watched a movie while he did his thing. We watched Wallace and Grommet. It was a good movie and kind of weird.

Soccer

Today was my first day of soccer. First, we practiced dribbling the ball around. Second, we did some stretches. Third, other drills for passing, shooting, and heading the ball. It was very fun.

Spell-a-thon

Today I have a spelling pretest for the spell-a-thon.  There are a lot of words.  I got most of them right.  My Mom is going to give me a lot of money for getting my words right.  It is going to be on Friday.

My brother's visit

My big brother came to visit last night.  We went out to the Outback Steakhouse.  I had junior ribs.  Mom and BoBo had steak.  Tash had pasta, and DeDe had shrimp.  It was so good.

After we ate, we came back home and played "oh hell."  I WHOOPED them.  It was so fun.

Happy Birthday Alex

Today we went to Alex's Birthday Party.  He is now 9 years old.  First, we boxed with humongous gloves and the log things that you fight with.  It was SO fun.  Next, we went on the giant slides.  I couldn't figure out how to get through the last part but I figured it out because my brother told me how.  We also played soccer and basketball.  We also ate pizza and had cake and soda.  It was so fun.

Movie Night

Today I went to movie night with my friends.  It was at my school.  We watched Surf's Up, Dude.   I had candy, a hot dog, AND some popcorn.  It was fun.

Decimals

Today we had homework on decimals.  We did decimals like ten and fifty hundredths. That is written like 10.50 which is the same as 10 and 1/2.  My homework was easy.

The test of Harry Potter

I took a test at school today on Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.  It was 20 questions on the book.  I got 11 out of 20 correct.  I did not pass.  So that means that I don't get any points...bomp, bomp, bomp.

Last day out of school

Today is the last day that we have a break from school. 

I have to go to bed now because I have school tomorrow.

Pizza My Heart

Today, my Mom and I went to Pizza My Heart.  I had a Hawaiian pizza and my Mom had a Veggie pizza.  It was GOOD.  We also saw a movie called 27 Dresses. 

My Dad and I used to ride our bikes to Pizza My Heart.  We would get some pizza and then ride back.

Laser Quest

It was Abe's Birthday and we went to Laser Quest. It was very cool. There was teams: Adults vs. Kids. The point of the game is that you walk around and try to shoot people. If you shoot their gun you their gun goes out for a couple of seconds and they can't shoot. You earn points.

In the first game I got 79 points and came in 20th (out of 21) place. By the second game I improved. I got 349 points and was in 7th place. I had fun.

Step Up 2

Today we saw the movie Step Up 2. It's about a guy and a girl who do a dance. In the beginning the girl has a "crew" called 410. But she is late a lot for practice because she has to go to a new school. It's a dance school. So she gets kicked out of the 410 and she starts a new crew with some kids at her new school. They are really good.

Friday Night Walk

Tonight we went walking with my Mom's friend Cindy. We took the dogs (Ronin and Lucky). My legs were soooooo tired. We walked soooooooooooooo far. It was reallllllllllllly fun.

Perfect Homework

Tonight I did all of my homework at the Y because I didn't want to do it at home. I didn't want to do it at home because I didn't want to get distracted by Conor and the TV. My said she was really proud of me because I have done it for 3 weeks straight (except for Wednesday's because I have group). Tomorrow I get to have a treat for perfect homework. We are going to go to the 7-Eleven before group.

Sad & Mad

Tonight my Mom was very sad.
My brother was very mad.
And I was also very sad.

Happy Sunday

Today my brother, mother, and I went to the beach.  I took a long time to get there.  Once we got there they said, "oh no.  No dog allowed."  We tried another beach, and another, and another.  Then we went to a beach that allowed dogs but they had to be on a leash.  It was very rocky and wasn't very fun. 

After we got home, we went to the gym and swam, played water tag, and sat in the hot tub.  We also had kick board races.  It was much more fun.

Dentist appointment

Today we went to the dentist appointment.  It was very fun because we got to see a movie while we were having our teeth cleaned.  We got toys too.  I got this squeeze thing and the bumps pop out.  But it wasn't fun after it broke because some disgusting stuff came out. 

After the dentist we went to Hobee's for breakfast.  I had High Hat Hashbrowns.  Conor did too.  It was good.

We went by our old house.  It is going to be torn down and they are going to put a 4-plex in its spot.  It had a really big backyard so they have space to do that.  We also saw the old neighbor for a while.  I ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, milk, and a banana at her house.

Friday Night Swim

My mom and I went to the gym after she picked me up from school.  I was really sweaty from playing basketball. We went swimming.

My Story

I have a story to write for school.  Our class is going to be putting our stories in the Young Author's Faire.  I wrote my first paragraph tonight.  I will share my story with you when I am done if you promise not to steal my idea.

We Voted

My Mom and I went to the voting poll today. 

I got to see how people vote. 

Taxes

While my brother was in group, I helped my Mom with the taxes.  She had TONS of papers!  I helped read the numbers on the papers while she typed.  She has a lot more to go.

Super Bowl

Today was the Super Bowl.  We all got excited.  My friends were over and we decided to go play some computer games.  We played Bow Man until the Super Bowl game.  Then my Mom, brother and I went to their house.  We brought some chips and root beer to share.  It was fun.

Batting Cage

My Mom took my brother and I to the batting cages today.  I was in 35 mph cage.  I hit about 6 rounds of 20 pitches.  I only missed one ball. It was fun.

My Speech

My bibliography speech went really, really well.  My teacher said that I needed to speak louder but everything else was fine.  I find out my grade next Thursday.

Biography Report

Tomorrow I have a biography report that I am doing in school.  I have to pretend like I am the person that I am doing it on and I will be Steve Young.  I have practiced my report a lot of times.  Wish me luck.

CD Wednesday

I went to group.  I got a CD of us singing.  It sounds really good.  We played and did artwork.

Today we played a wii at my Auntie Carol and Uncle Marcelo's house.  It was fun and I want one now.

Chewed up sock

Class point party

Today's party was terrific.  I had an ice cream sundae with cherries, crunched oreos, and rainbow sprinkles.  We ate while we watch Chicken Run but I had to leave for a little bit so I didn't get to see the whole thing.  I went to the Young Author's Tea.  At Young Author's Tea you read your writing the everybody else who is in the tea.  Once your are done with that they take your picture with your story and your certificate.  You get a pencil and listen to the rest of the speeches.  Then you sit down on a tiny chair that is as tiny as pencil.  And then you eat your snack and drink your drink.  There is no tea.  After the tea, I came back to class and watched the rest of the movie.  It was really funny.

Party tomorrow

Tomorrow my class is going to party!  We are going to watch "Chicken Run" while eating an ice cream sundae with whipped cream, caramel topping, chocolate topping, crunched oreos and other stuff.

The Color Song

Today we made up a color song. It goes like this:

My field trip

My class went on a field trip today.  We went to the orchestra.  We learned all about music and the different instruments (like the bass).  We enjoyed all of the music like Mozart's 8th symphony.  I falled asleep when they played the really low music.  Luckily the bong woke me up when it went really loud.  It was really fun to watch.

Miniature Golf

Yesterday we went miniature golfing.  The people ahead of us took more than 6 turns each.  Their ball would roll past the start and it would go into the other hole.  They would hit it from there and keep playing.  We passed them by skipping that hole and coming back later.  Me and my Mom tied scores.  It was fun.

Crash

My Mom's friend took us to the movies yesterday.  We saw The Bucket List.  It was fun watching.

After the movie, we played some games.  I played cars, a shooting game, and this is pretty much it.  Here I am crashing.  It fun and my car never gets ruined.  It just knocked stuff down.

Matisse & Jacks Chocolate Chip Power Snacks

Me and my Mom were making Matisse & Jacks Chocolate Chip Power Snacks.  It was so easy and so fun to make. 

First, we figured out how much 3/4 cup of apple sauce was.  It is 6 ounces (which is the same as  1 1/2 packages of the snack size apple sauce.  Then we added 2 tablespoons of oil and 1 tablespoon of water.  Then you mix it.  You can also add other stuff.  We added raisins.  My Mom helped me with the oven.  We baked them a 350 degrees for 30 minutes.  That's a half an hour.

Wet Dog

Long Time Ago

It was Mom's Birthday and we got her SOOOO good.

My Dad said, "I don't like it when they sing Happy Birthday at the table," so Mom thought that we wouldn't do the singing thing.  We did and she was SOOOO surprised. 

I am about 3 years old in this picture.  It was a long time ago but I like the picture.

Spying on Mom

Me and my friends tried to get the dogs inside my closet with us so we could spy on my Mom. First, we kept the dogs inside so that they couldn't get in the way then she would know that we were spying on her. She was in garage. We were upstairs in my room, in my closet trying to get the dogs there. Then we got out and the dogs stayed inside. She almost saw us right when she came out but we hid in this certain spot where there are a lot of jackets. It was the downstairs closet. We couldn't find the attic. The dogs didn't get out but then we opened the door to get something and Ronin got out. He didn't chew up any of my things because the light was off so he couldn't find anything. It was fun.

Auto Show

Today, we went to the auto show with Al & Lois.

I got to sit in the cars.

Laker Dog

Blog 365

It's hard to keep up with the blogging because I have school, I have recess, I have to eat lunch, and do my homework. I have to eat dinner. I have to go to hospice.

It is hard to post every day for the blog 365. So my posts might be late sometimes, but I will try to do one for everyday.

I hope this is okay.

My dogs

Lucky is a very patient, cool, and a good dog but he isn't a playful dog. Ronin is a really playful dog but sometimes he gets so playful that he is out of control.

My brother's work

Today was when my brother had to go to work. We picked him up at night time and he was still in work. So we just waited in the car and saw what he was doing. He had a pretty fun job but then we saw his friends come look in the window. We were wondering why they were there. Conor was surprised to see them looking at him through the window. He didn't know that we were looking through the window too.

Conor was collecting ballons to give on to each kid at the Birthday party. Then he cleaned windows and stacked up chairs. He even got a $20 tip (he had to split with the other girl). He has a really good job.

YMCA

Today, I went to YMCA. We played games on miniclip. We went outside. I read my book. We ate lunch, and I played fooz ball a lot.

It's a new year

On New Years Eve, we went to my friends house. We ate ice cream, had cookies, watched a little TV, and played. At midnight, we all put on our New Years Eve hat and did the count down until New Years. Then we went outside to see the fireworks.
